Rosie aka Song Bird, superhero must save the Great Barrier Reef. Something weird is happening on Green Turtle Island. Marine creatures have been dying, and now her friends are disappearing. Rosie travels through a time portal to unlock a secret. Can Song Bird rescue the Great Barrier Reef before it’s too late?
There are not too many stories about Australian super heroes, and Song Bird is a great read.
Song Bird: Great Barrier Reef Rescue is a fantastic adventure set on Turtle Island in the Great Barrier Reef. This is a wonderful adventure that kids will love, as well as having a strong message of team work, friendship, and caring for our environment. There is also a lot of information about the Great Barrier Reef included in the story.
Amy, one of Song Birds friends, is in a wheelchair. It’s fantastic to see characters with disabilities in a super hero story who is part of the heroes team, rather than someone who needs to be rescued.
The villain also has some pretty cool robot dogs (we’ll stop here so we won’t give too much of the story away).
A wonderful adventure with an Australian super hero that Aussie kids will love.
This is the 4th book in the Song Bird series, be sure to read them all.
