The Clubhouse is our monthly print newsletter that is sent to subscribers of The Clubhouse and regular attendees of our Writers Groups.
The newsletter contains information and inspiration for Junior Writers including:
- Writing prompts
- Answers to questions about writing and reading
- Stories written by young writers
- Interesting information about authors, books, words, and anything else we can find
Junior Writers Club members are encouraged to send in their questions to be answered and stories to be published.
The Clubhouse is mailed during the first full week of the month.
A Clubhouse only subscription is only $69 per year. We recommend a subscription per child rather than per family so that each child can receive their own letter in the mail.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is this newsletter mailed rather than emailed?
For many young writers, they haven’t received anything in the mail, other than a birthday or Christmas card. Receiving something in the mail is special. There are also a number of young writers who don’t have their own email address and we wanted to make sure they didn’t miss out on receiving their copy of The Clubhouse.
Why do send a copy to each child?
When I was growing up, I would get frustrated when something was sent to all the kids. There would be fights over who would read the letter first, it may get lost or ruined before we would all get a chance to read it, and there were arguments over who would keep it! By sending a copy to each child, we aim to reduce these fights and help every child feel special by getting a letter in the mail. If you would prefer one copy per family, just let us know.
How can my child send their questions or writing to you?
They can email their questions or stories to firstname.lastname@example.org, or send us a letter. Our mailing address is: PO Box 9014, Traralgon VIC 3844.
